Maxitrol Parts began to sell its goods on the European market in
1965 when it opened a division in Senden, Germany, and expanded its presence in
1993 by working in collaboration with Mertik Regelungstechnik GmbH, based in
Thale.
Reorganized and renamed Mertik Maxitrol, the new affiliate
Mertik Regelungstechnik. Mertik currently credits over 95% of its revenue to
products produced since 1993 and holds 51 patents in 15 countries. Product
lines of the two companies complement each other with Mertik providing gas
combination sensors, Regulator Values, gas safety devices, and the new gas convenience outlet
Plug1.
